About us

The exposition of the Children’s Museum is housed in an architectural monument of the 19th-20 centuries. The Museum is a part of National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve. It’s situated in Polotsk in Nizhne-Pokrovskaya Street, 46. It was opened on 28 May 2004.

The area of the museum is 132 m2, the exhibition area is 110 m2.

The exposition consists of 8 collections (659 subjects).

The exposition halls of the museum give an opportunity to get acquainted with different exhibits, to learn their history, to acknowledge that a man is a creator, not a destroyer.

In the first hall several complexes are introduced: watches, scales and bells. In the second hall there are soundreproducing devices, photocameras, samovars, the subjects of philately and deltiology.

In the second hall of the museum there is a showcase where any child could present his own collections.
